Florida Panhandle Billfish Series - Pure Competition
It began in 2024, when the three major billfish tournaments along the panhandle region of Florida, teamed up to recognize and reward the best tournament boat, captain and anglers for the three-week long Florida Panhandle Billfish Series. Each year in June, beginning with the Pensacola International Billfish Tournament, followed by the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic in Sandestin, and wrapping up in beautiful Panama City Beach at the Bay Point Billfish Open, the series promises to be fast-paced and highly competitive. The rules and point system for the series are simple yet rewarding for teams fishing one, two or all three events. At the conclusion of the Bay Point Billfish Open, the series champion is announced, awarded a cash prize and their team names are engraved on the magnificent, perpetual trophy, proudly displayed at the Center for Billfish Conservation and Education in Pensacola, Florida.
The mission of the Florida Panhandle Billfish Series is to promote the panhandle’s top-level billfish tournaments and the anglers who fish them. In doing so, we hope to instill comradery, sportsmanship and conservation, while highlighting the tremendous competition for gamefish in our great offshore fishery. This series is intended for those seeking integrity in sportfishing and preserving our sport for future generations.
